Corrections Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Accuracy matters. This policy explains how readers can report an error and how ATL Playbook corrects or clarifies published work.
How to report an error
Use our Contact the Newsroom form and begin your message with “Correction.” Include the article URL, the statement you believe is incorrect, and a reliable source or firsthand detail that can help us verify the change.
How we review corrections
- We review the published article, the original source material, and any evidence supplied by the reader or subject.
- Minor spelling, formatting, or clarity edits may be fixed without a formal note when they do not change the meaning.
- Material factual errors are corrected promptly and receive a dated correction or clarification note.
- When new information changes an article rather than correcting an error, we may label the change as an update.
Reviews, opinions, and disagreements
A different opinion is not automatically a factual error. We will, however, review whether a conclusion rests on incorrect information, an undisclosed conflict, or a misleading description. Businesses and article subjects may contact us, but they do not receive advance approval or control over independent editorial conclusions.
Transparency
When a correction materially affects a reader’s understanding, the note will explain what was wrong and what changed. We do not silently rewrite a material error.
