Our Chung Ki Wa Korean BBQ Duluth review began with the restaurant’s traditional scale: a large dining room, a homey Korean atmosphere, and private rooms that can make sense for family or group gatherings. The dish we examined most closely was agujjim, a spicy braised monkfish preparation that delivered a flavorful sauce and plenty of vegetables, though we wanted a little more fish.
The photos and tasting notes come from our original visit. Current contact information and recently listed hours were checked in August 2026. The menu images remain useful for orientation but not for current pricing.
Chung Ki Wa Korean BBQ Duluth is especially practical when a shared Korean meal and enough room for a larger party are both priorities.

Traditional atmosphere and room for groups
The restaurant’s size separates it from smaller strip-mall dining rooms. Our visit found a traditional, comfortable setup with space for shared platters and bubbling dishes. Private rooms are especially appealing for birthdays, extended-family meals, or business gatherings where conversation matters.
A meal here follows the familiar Korean pattern of rice, banchan, and a central dish for the table. Because private-room availability and minimums may change, call ahead instead of assuming a room can be requested on arrival.
Agujjim review: bold sauce, modest fish portion
Agujjim combines monkfish with bean sprouts and vegetables in a garlicky red-pepper sauce. Chung Ki Wa’s version was enjoyable because the seasoning had enough intensity to flavor the vegetables and rice. The monkfish itself was pleasant, but the ratio leaned more toward vegetables than fish during our visit.
That balance is not unusual for agujjim, where crunchy sprouts are part of the identity, but diners ordering primarily for seafood should ask about portion size. This is also a dish to share: its strong sauce and generous volume make more sense in the center of the table than as a solo entrée.

The following menu pages were photographed during the original visit. The selection illustrates how much broader Chung Ki Wa is than the “Korean BBQ” name alone, but dishes and prices may have changed.

Our verdict
Chung Ki Wa Korean BBQ Duluth is worth considering when space, traditional atmosphere, and a shareable Korean menu matter as much as one signature dish. Our agujjim had a compelling sauce but a lighter fish-to-vegetable ratio than we hoped for. A future visit to Chung Ki Wa Korean BBQ Duluth should explore the barbecue and other house specialties before making a broader judgment.
