K-Mom’s Kitchen Duluth Review: Korean Home-Style Food

Exterior of K-Mom’s Kitchen in Duluth, Georgia

Our K-Mom’s Kitchen Duluth review found a small restaurant built around the feeling of a Korean home meal: a compact menu, numerous rotating banchan, rice, soup, and familiar mains. On a Mother’s Day family visit, the room filled quickly, and the food felt most successful when it leaned into that unpretentious identity.

Dish impressions and photographs come from our visit. Current address, phone, and recently published hours were checked in August 2026. Rotating side dishes and soups can change daily, which is part of the appeal.

An intimate room and a generous banchan spread

K-Mom’s Kitchen has a clean sign that can still be easy to miss from the road.

K-Mom’s Kitchen is intimate. On our visit, roughly eight parties were enough to make the room feel full. That scale supports the restaurant’s home-kitchen personality, but it also means peak meals may require patience.

The intimate K-Mom’s Kitchen dining room fills quickly at peak times.

About ten banchan arrived at our table, and refills were available. The assortment and accompanying soup can rotate, so the exact meal is not fully predictable. For diners who value variety more than a huge entrée catalog, that is a feature rather than a drawback.

What we ate at K-Mom’s Kitchen

Spicy pork bulgogi grilled croaker and cod soup at K-Mom’s Kitchen
Our main dishes: bulgogi, grilled yellow croaker, fresh cod soup, and spicy pork.

Spicy pork

The spicy pork was our favorite main. It balanced meat and vegetables well, carried enough seasoning to wake up plain rice, and still felt like a complete meal rather than a pile of sauce-heavy protein.

Bulgogi

The flavor was balanced, but the meat texture seemed more shredded or tenderized than we prefer. Diners who like very soft bulgogi may appreciate it more than those looking for distinct slices with char.

Grilled yellow croaker

The fish produced mixed reactions at our table, which is common with whole grilled croaker because bones and salt level shape the experience. It makes most sense for diners already comfortable eating Korean grilled fish with rice.

Fresh cod spicy soup

My wife especially liked the fresh cod flesh, while we found the broth itself more average. The dish is still useful when a table wants something hot and brothy alongside grilled or stir-fried mains.

Who should visit K-Mom’s Kitchen?

This restaurant is a strong fit for diners who miss the structure of a Korean home meal: rice, soup, many small sides, and one central main. It is less suited to someone seeking an enormous barbecue menu or a sleek special-occasion room. Because the dining area is small, calling ahead is sensible for a larger family group.

The photographed menu reflects our visit. Rotating dishes, soup, banchan, prices, and holiday extras—our Mother’s Day meal included rice cake and sujeonggwa—should not be assumed on every visit.

Our verdict

K-Mom’s Kitchen succeeds when judged as a small home-style restaurant rather than a comprehensive Korean dining hall. The spicy pork and changing banchan would bring us back. The bulgogi texture and soup broth were less distinctive, but the overall meal delivered warmth and variety.
