Pho House Duluth Review: A MICHELIN-Selected Pho Spot

Pho House Duluth is the kind of restaurant we return to when the weather turns gray and a fragrant, restorative bowl of soup sounds right. Our original visits found a clean, roomy dining room and a focused Vietnamese menu led by pho. In 2026, it also carries a distinction that often gets misunderstood: Pho House is MICHELIN Guide–Selected, not a MICHELIN-starred or Bib Gourmand restaurant.

This independent review combines our firsthand meal notes and original photographs with operating information checked in August 2026. Old menu photographs are included for context, but prices and availability can change.

Atmosphere at Pho House Duluth

Pho House sits on busy Satellite Boulevard, one of Duluth’s most useful corridors for Asian dining. Inside, our visits found more breathing room than the storefront suggests. The room was bright, orderly, and comfortable enough for both a quick solo lunch and a relaxed meal with family.

The appeal is straightforward rather than theatrical. You come for a large bowl, fresh herbs, and the familiar ritual of adjusting the broth with lime, hoisin, and chile sauce. That unfussy experience is a large part of why Pho House became one of our repeat rainy-day choices.

What to order at Pho House

P1 combination pho

The P1 was our best all-around order. It brought several textures of beef to one bowl—filet mignon, meatball, tendon, flank, and brisket in the menu version we tried. The broth was aromatic without being heavy, and the mix of onion and herbs kept each spoonful lively. If you enjoy tendon and want to understand the range of the kitchen, begin here.

P2 filet mignon pho

The P2 is the easier recommendation for diners who want tender beef without the gelatinous texture of tendon. It is simpler than the combination bowl but still satisfying. Add herbs first, then season gradually; too much hoisin or sriracha can cover the broth you came to taste.

What “MICHELIN-Selected” means

The official MICHELIN Guide page lists Pho House as a selected restaurant. That means inspectors recommend it for the quality of the dining experience. It does not mean the restaurant has a MICHELIN Star, and it is not listed as Bib Gourmand. You may also hear the older informal phrase “MICHELIN Plate”; “Selected” is the current wording to use.

MICHELIN’s own notes point diners toward the combination pho and the grilled-pork bánh mì. We independently agree that the combination bowl is a smart first order.

These menu pages document our original visit. They are useful for seeing the range of pho and other Vietnamese dishes, but they should not be treated as a current price list.

Our verdict

Pho House Duluth earns a return visit for its combination pho, accessible filet mignon bowl, clean room, and late hours. The MICHELIN selection is welcome context, but the more important point is consistency: this is an easy restaurant to recommend when someone asks where to start with pho in Duluth.

Bottom line: Order the P1 if you like varied beef textures; choose the P2 if you want a simpler, tender-beef bowl.
